But nowadays they are readily available all year round. Being one of the oldest pot plants in the world, pot chrysanthemums were originally grown in China. 1,000 years ago they came to Europe via Japan. The plant is still very popular in Japan, especially honored every year during the Festival of Happiness. For the Japanese, the pot chrysanthemum symbolizes good luck.

The stems are strong and the center remains fresh green during the entire flowering period. Maverick White also performs very well during cultivation. With Maverick White a real Maverick family has been created. Maverick Sunny was introduced some time ago and has proven itself in shelf life and uniformity. And there is another part of the family coming: this autumn we expect to introduce Maverick Orange.

Potted Celosia Brings a Much-Needed Pop of Color 
Celosia flowers, also known as 'wool flowers' or 'cockscombs' have many flowers that flourish for months on end. The genus Celosia belongs to the family of Amaranthaceae. It is native to the warm climates of Africa and Asia and appreciated for the showy inflorescences that are colorful and unusual like no other flower. When several pot celosia's bloom next to each other, they collectively give the impression of fire, which is why the botanical name Celosia - meaning 'burning' in Greek - was selected for this plant. The general name of cockscomb was given because the blooms also look similar to a rooster's comb.
